Because of a grass roots effort started 2 years ago by a few of our loyal supporters, MVMC is benefiting from items posted on our 'Wish List' that is located in our waiting room. This very successful campaign has resulted in a diverse array of support, from volunteering in-kind services such as painting and donated artwork for our hallways, to safe toys for the waiting room, on-call pagers, and higher expense items like handicap accessible exam tables. Each donation is greatly appreciated and directly relates to our ability to serve our patients.

VITAL SIGNS MONITOR Donated |

Cost $600. MVMC is in need of replacing one of our automated vital signs monitors used to measure blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and O2 saturation. These units are used for every patient encounter and one of the units has become unreliable. The total cost for a new one is $1,600, but we have written a local grant for $1,000 and need to raise the other $600 to purchase. If you would like to help with the purchase of this important piece of medical equipment, please speak with a staff member. PATIENT CHAIRS, Cost $150 each. (Quantity 2) Cost $400 each. One year ago, MVMC had converted its dictation system over to a state-of-the-art digital program. This enables rapid access to dictation though electronic communication, as well as rapid turn around on transcriptions of patient?s notes that may be needed as patients are sent to specialists or the hospital. With the addition of a new Nurse Practitioner and the need to replace one of the original units used by Dr Fox, we are requesting support to purchase two new units.PARK BENCHES(Quantity 2), Cost $180 each. MVMC would like to purchase two new sturdy park benches to be placed in the front of the clinic.

MVMC has many patients and friends who are amateur or professional photographers and artists. We would welcome the opportunity to display and recognize any donated pieces of art or photograph that would enhance the appearance of one of our newly upgraded areas. Cost $1,000 each. MVMC needs to purchase three new business class computers for the front desk team to handle our new patient information software. The current computers are outdated, slow, and will not support the needed software. The new computers will also allow us to interface with other office computers as well as printers. If you would like to help with the purchase of one of these, please speak with a staff member. (Please note that we are only buying the computer and will reuse, monitors and keyboards.) Update: We recently had a wish granted of two computers! Thank you. Still need one more!!
EXAM TABLE: Cost $1,100 MVMC is looking to purchase a standard exam table to put in our new exam space in room 1. With limited exam room space we have decided to turn room 1 back into an exam which makes it necessary to purchase some basic furniture. Cost $275:
The lab is in dire need of replacing the existing urine centrifuge at our office. After years of service, current one is showing signsof failure and needs replacing. We have priced out a refurbished model which is about 1/3 of the cost of a brand new one and this should meet our needs just fine. Cost $50 each. MVMC is looking to purchase two noise machines that help eliminate noise carry over between exam rooms. Patient confidentiality is very important to our staff and patients. Two of our providers have requested machines to help maintain confidentiality and the suggestion of patients. Laura Megroz, local artist and MVMC supporter, designed and donated 30 rugs for a MVMC fundraiser. Shown above with Dr. Roger Fox, the rug shows a stylized scene including the three local ski mountains, a volunteer ambulance, and a likeness of our senior physician, Roger Fox. The rugs helped MVMC commemorate 30 years of caring for the community.

Cost $690. MVMC is looking to purchase our own commercial grade steam cleaner to maintain the carpeting in our patient waiting area and throughout the clinic. Having our own cleaner will also allow us to clean those areas weekly during winter months when we see a large number of sick patients with the flu, colds, etc.

WAITING ROOM TOYS UPGRADE |

Cost $10 - $200 per unit. We are trying to upgrade the toys available to our young patients in the waiting room and exam rooms to toys that are durable, safe, easily sanitizes, and educational. We would like purchase two wall-mounted units that would minimize the clutter of toys on the floor. We would also like to purchase a multiple game maze unit. These items are about $200 each. We are also looking to upgrade our smaller toys and children?s book collection with estimated costs of $10-$50 |
Cost $2,500
The MVMC lab is in need of purchasing a UPS large enough to protect the several analyzers it houses. The current unit has shown signs of failure and needs to be replaced soon. The purpose of a UPS is to condition the flow of electricity to the analyzers and also serve as a short term battery backup until the generator turns on when the power goes out. |

Cost $99 each. We need to replace 6 wastebaskets in patient exam rooms with wastebaskets that have a lid and a step petal as well. The size we need is 48 quart and with stainless steel construction.
